Back to School Eve

Today is the final day of preparations for the school year. We began our day with Sunday school and church followed by lunch with the grandparents. After returning home we completed the back to school labeling and packing. My husband joked about people thinking his underwear were labeled with his name. I guess I went a little overboard (labeled my son's highlighters) with the personalized labels. The kids and I spent part of the afternoon preparing foods for the lunchboxes. I cut up celery, onions, cantalope, pineapple, etc. My husband made a run to the grocery so I could whip up some pimento cheese and Guiltless Chicken Salad. The kids packaged dried veggies as well as hummus and fresh veggies. The entire weekend was devoted to back to school projects as I made napmats for my daughter and a friend. My daughter also has a new dress for football games. The kitchen and sewing room were busy places. Hope you enjoy pics of our busy day. More to come about back to school at our house.
